Januar 2023 brach in einem am Lokomotivdepot Schaffhausen angebauten Holzschopf des SBB-Bahndienstes ein verheerendes Feuer aus und besch\u00e4digte das unter Denkmalschutz stehende Geb\u00e4ude, unsere 52 8055 und drei Speicherlokomotiven, siehe pdf. Am 22. Februar 2023 wurde die stark besch\u00e4digte, jedoch rollf\u00e4hige 52 8055 nach Frauenfeld \u00fcberf\u00fchrt, wo sie in einer gemieteten Halle von der DLM in Eigenregie wieder instand gestellt wurde. Am 18 Februar 2025 wurde sie angeheizt, mit unserem elektrischen Vorheizger\u00e4t und dem Pilotbrenner der Leicht\u00f6lfeuerung. Die elektrische Ausr\u00fcstung samt der ETM-S-Zugsicherung erlitt beim Brand einen Totalschaden und muss noch rekonstruiert werden.
